The Stereo 150 C:62 Race 29 is as rock-solid dependable descending an Alp as it is agile and sure-footed picking a route up a long climb. Newmen Evolution wheels with an upgraded three-pawl freehub work with Sram's 1x12 GX transmission - and a new 52-tooth large sprocket - to get your power to the trail via grippy Maxxis Minion tyres. We fitted powerful Magura MT Thirty hydraulic disc brakes with an oversize front rotor, so you have total control. And the RockShox Lyrik Select fork and Super Deluxe Select+ shock perfectly complement our precise kinematics, for rock-swallowing smoothness that'll have you coming back for more.
Frame and equipment
Form or function? With the Stereo 150 C:62 you can have both. The clean lines, neat rocker cover and trunnion shock mount are designed to combine efficiency, stability and intuitive handling. Our C:62 carbon is light, tough and builds into a stiff, efficient frame. Boost 148 rear axle spacing works with the tapered head tube and oversized down tube to deliver superb steering precision and pedal input. We fitted ISCG05 tabs for a chainguide, while short chainstays ensure agile handling and efficient climbing.
For whom is the Cube Stereo 150 C:62 Race 29 suitable?
For the ambitious all mountain biker. Perfectly designed frames, well thought-out components and adjustable spring/damper settings ensure that the path of these bikes adapts to the bikes. The mountain calls and these bikes follow. The wide range of applications - from the Alpine tour to the Hometrail - leave nothing to be desired. The premium components also open up this bike category to riders who do not have their own workshop in the basement. Ascend, start riding, be surprised!
The advantages of 29 inch tires
29 inch is THE trend of the last few years, which was able to assert itself completely. Initially viewed critically by mountain bike purists and equipped with some teething troubles, the bike industry has recognized the trend and made it the new standard through continuous improvements. The advantage of the 29" tyres is the enormous running smoothness, which brings great advantages and saves power on long tours as well as uphill and downhill. Obstacles are easier to overcome due to the larger circumference of the wheels, and a greater distance is covered by turning the bottom bracket. By improvements and adjustments in the frame construction and the component selection, initial problems with the agility in the Trail and the optics of smaller frames were optimally balanced. Whether fully or hardtail, a 29 will take you far away.
